Dot Certificate Wording



Per incominciare bene l'anno,faccio un super-quick trip in the New Wave sound, briefly reviews the career of Joy Division and The Sound.

Il disco è un viaggio "onirico " guidata dalla voce baritonale di Curtis,che esordisce speranzoso in "Disorder" con la frase "I've been waiting for a guide to come and take me by the hand" ,si lascia trasportare da desideri, sogni,sprofondando nel vortice dell'oblio.L'Iter  è dolcemente alleviato dalle linee di basso di Hook e dalla batteria sempre presente di Morris.
"Closer",registrato a Londra tra il 17 e il 31 Marzo,esce postumo il 18 luglio 1980.L'atmosfera del disco ricorda l'ambientazione del componimento sepolcrale"Elegia scritta in un cimitero di campagna" del poeta settecentesco Thomas Gray ,in copertina è fotografato un paesaggio violentemente malinconico :la tomba della famiglia Appiani al Cimitero monumentale di Staglieno di Genova ,foto scattata da Bernard Pierre Wolff.
Ian Curtis non è più con noi,ma le sue parole sono immortali:LOVE WILL TEAR US APART AGAIN!!!!!!!
The Sound
